- Aw, the last day of school for the week-there is nothing better than that. I am certainly cherishing these days because I know they will not last forever. (Our free Fridays are due in part because Bible study is not meeting in person this year. Instead they are zooming (most of us are not), so that gives us all day Wednesday for school. I will definitely struggle when it comes to losing our free Fridays when Bible study starts back, but it is worth it-but I will have to keep reminding myself of that over and over again.)
- School did go very well. Reagan has an essay to write and has waited until the last minute to do it-a procrastinator! That is not me at all-Robby was making fun of my tonight for getting things done as soon as possible.
- Whitman continued to be distracted today. I thought that by him doing 3 math problems at a time and then working on something else that might speed him up. Nope, that didn't work. He is currently fascinated with Roman Numerals but I can't figure out how to make that his math instead of the problems he has now (43,214 minus 28,989-who wants to do that kind of stuff with all of that borrowing-yuck!)
- Reagan drove herself to school today-well, I rode in the car too but tried to say very little. That is pretty hard to do. Then I did some running around-Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, Jasons, Grannymoms and then home.
- I ended my afternoon at the pregnancy center volunteering with Campbell. I kind of felt sorry for them there because they are without a lot of their help due to covid. It is just too far away for me to go more often, but I do hate that I can't do more.
- I came home just as Robby was chopping up the meat for supper. He had been smoking some meat all day long and gracious it smelled delicious. I think that it smells better than it tastes-and there is nothing better than eating it right as he is chopping it. Though you have to be super careful because he chops it with this massive machete. I thought that Campbell was going to lose a finger tonight while grabbing meat.
- Our after dinner entertainment was the nightly return of the possum. They shot at him with the bb guns for a good 15 minutes. 3 bb guns didn't do the trick so they started throwing basketballs at him. Our yard is currently littered with balls that no one picked up-because no one wanted to go under the tree that the possum was perched in.
- When they became too cold, everyone came in. Later Keaton saw the thing right by our bedroom window-Robby then chased it around with a broom for a little bit. Some days I think that all we do is sit on the couch, and then other days we would make great sitcom material.
- Robby and I then made a late night run to the grocery store. We spend 100 bucks at Kroger while making a 100 walmart grocery order-that is how we do our shopping now. It is kind of crazy, but it is entertaining at least.
