We have been to New York City a few times-2006, 2007, 2009, 2010 and then again in 2016. However, we have only been to the Statue of Liberty twice. In 2009, we had tickets to go to the pedestal of the statue. We were thrilled until we found out that the elevator was out of order. So with our three tiny kids and 6 month pregnant self, we hiked up 156 stairs. That was a memorable experience for sure. Here are the pictures and blog from that day.
