- School morning and I didn't manage to get up as early (no treadmill time and gracious, I really wanted to start doing better at that) but I was still up before anyone else. I guess that is fairly unusual because when Anderson saw my standing in the kitchen this morning, he said "what are you doing awake? You are never up!"
- After our breakfast, we started school and things went much better today. School didn't take until 4:30 today-we managed to cut about 5 hours off of our time. Graham finished before 11:30, Reagan finished close to noon and my Anderson almost finished by lunch. He is just a bit slower than the others at getting his work done and I certainly don't mind that at all if he is working and not leg wrestling with his brother in the hallway or filling up a pretend ketchup bottle with water. Anyway, what he didn't finish today, I just stuck back for another day.
- Everyone helped with our chores today because just about as soon as lunch was over, we loaded up and headed to the pool. The Stattons and Kamps were there today and the kids had lots of fun. I, however, spent most of my time feeling guilty. When we walked in, the little lifeguard at the front desk said "how many are guests?" And I replied that they were all mine-they are all mine but I still felt guilty, like he didn't believe me. He even scooted his chair back so he could look behind him and count the crew. I wanted to tell him names, birthdates and socials but wasn't sure if even that would convince him. It is just 6!
- We left the pool around 4:30 and dropped Whitman off at Grannymom's house. He had been so excited about going all day long but he looked a bit sad as we drove off. At one point, he tried to hold Anderson's hand and Grannymom's hand bringing Anderson toward the house with him. I know he had a great time but wonder if he missed his siblings as much as his sisters missed him.
- When we got home, the kids quickly changed in their vbs clothes and we headed down the street. I walked with everyone tonight and then Robby was feeling well enough to come and pick me up so I didn't have to walk home by myself! Robby has been feeling puny for a day or two and has been sleeping for most of the evening tonight-hopefully he will feel better in the morning.
- While they were all at vbs, I worked around the hosue and before I knew it, it was time to pick them up. My Keaton again came bounding out of the sanctuary grinning from ear to ear. Tonight they all got prayer rocks with a card that said something to the effect of put me on your pillow and when you whack your head, you will remember to say your prayers. Then throw me on the floor and in the morning when you stump your toe you will again remember your prayers. I had never seen that before and thought it was the cutest thing.
- But what the kids thought was the best from tonight was the park ranger from Pinnacle Mountain coming and talking to them. Apparently there was lots of animals to hold and touch and everyone told me how much we needed to go to Pinnacle some day. I guess I will have to put that on my field trip list.
- We did showers after VBS and it single handedly took me forever to listen to everyone tell about the night and then get them all to bed. It sounds like they are all sleeping so hopefully everyone will wake rested and school will go even better today.
