Playing with the spoils from his party! |
- Bible study morning and we were up in time to empty the dishwasher, straighten a bit, clean the potties, empty the trash cans, get ready and eat breakfast. That all sounds pretty impressive but I did most of the work!
- Before I went to bed last night, I laid out Whitman's new blanket and opened up some of his new toys from his party last night. After breakfast, I walked him into the living room and he immediately sat on his blanket and started playing. A few minutes later, I told him that it was time to leave and he picked up his trains and his new package of Pull ups and went to the door. Graham tried his best to convince him to leave the Pull Ups at home but no, we spent the entire day driving around with a package of new Pull Ups right beside Whitman.
- Down the road, we stopped on our way to Bible study to pick up Campbell. She had spent the night at Nonna's house and slept until 7:15. So the first thing she said when she saw me was "I didn't even have time to play." But she did have time to make a silly face pancake with bananas, oranges, chocolate chips and I think something else but I can't remember!
- After Bible study, we went to the park and even though we pottied right before leaving Bible study, both of my little girls came up to me and told me that they needed to go potty. I suggested a tree but they didn't take me up on it! We ate our lunches and the kids played and even took a walk around the little trails before we loaded up.
- I knew that my people wouldn't be able to wait until Bryant so we stopped by Grannymom's house to potty. Reagan said she didn't need to go in so she convinced me to let her and Whitman stay in the car. Apparently Whitman did not like those plans at all-she later came in with him and said that he had yelled at her and then hit her! Oh my!
- He was still in a bit of a mood when we finally made it to Beebee's place. He threw his first batch of candy down on the floor and even laid on the floor himself for a while. After a while he calmed down and sat in my lap-if we would have stayed longer the baby would have went to sleep (birthday weeks are hard around here!) The kids were pretty talkative today and I was thankful that they didn't all fall apart at Beebee's place since they are all tired.
- When we made it home, I looked back and saw 4 sleeping kiddos. My Graham was just teasing me but was pretty convincing. Unloading our bags from the day and getting them reloaded for tonight is always a challenge but when you add hauling the sleeping people from the van, it counts as my exercise for the day!
- We did some reading and science before I let the kids watch their movies-it was already 4 so I had a bit of time to work on school stuff for this month. Then it was supper time and in the middle of supper, Robby wrote and said he was heading home. When he arrived, we were almost loaded up in the car ready to go to church.
- Graham was able to shop tonight with his play money that he earned from saying his verses and all-he bought a ball and a balloon. Robby and Reagan blew it up and before we left the church hallway, the balloon had popped! He took it in stride so I was pretty pleased with that.
- Once at home, we had a bit of a snack and then put out people to bed. Of course when it was bedtime, the storm came-thunder was so loud once when we were upstairs that it sounded like someone had fallen out of bed. Thankfully, by the time our Bible story was over the storm had mostly passed and things were calm again so all could get to sleep.
